Brian Brant - Work Experience
SASD School Board Member Candidate (Region 2)

Because I have no prior school board experience I thought I would give you some background on my work history to demonstrate that I'm fully capable of making solid, reasonable decisions which is required for any school board member.
I have 10+ years experience as a computer programmer and have developed software applications that were used by companies such as General Motors, Xerox and PNC Bank. I mention this because as a developer (programmer) I'm required to carefully listen to people, gain a solid understanding for what they want and then appropriately acting upon their needs. Often times I need to use my own good judgment to offer suggestions and recommendations to not just getting the job done but getting the job done right in an efficient manner. I've managed to build and maintain a good rapport with people of all diversities through open communications, being open to suggestions and thinking rationally.
All of the experience I've gained in my career can and will be put to practice if I'm elected as a school board member. I will listen to what people want and act upon their needs accordingly. As a liaison for the community, I will provide input and make rational decisions that will continue the progressive trend of the Somerset Area School District. And last but not least I vow to build upon and maintain an excellent rapport with all district employees and our great community!
